Metanonathlon 2025-26

Post by JonT »

We seem not to have had a thread at all on the Metanonathlon last year. Which is a bit of an omission.

Here are the final 2024-25 scores.Well done to Mike for a sea of dark green, reflecting a very strong season.

I'm hoping to make some improvements this season and to be up towards the top of the table if possible.

It was a reasonably strong season, but that score was definitely greatly assisted by having had a relatively weak season the year before!
I'll be impressed if I manage to break even this time around!

Well done Mike & Lesley, huge improvements ^O^ =D> ^O^

I was also flattered by some of the 2024 Nonathlon performances, but went much faster on some than I thought I had in me. So this year I will need to capitalise on some of the weaker performances to get close to 900! Meta is a great motivator when coming back and a check on relative performance, but not so great as a competition due to different starting points (although after a few good performances, I was happy to take it when in my favour  .

Also, the changes in the reference targets mid-season is annoying. My one scoring sub-100 in 2025 (1k) was a faster time than the year before, but the reference improved more than a year older declined!
56 year old Lwt (in ability and in weight) trying to develop a technique that doesn't cause hysterics and continue to row regularly.
