International Women's Day

Post by JonT »

It's the IWD challenge today:

"Support the Women’s Sports Foundation and Women Sport International by joining our International Women’s Day Challenge on March 8. To take part sign up on the front page of the Logbook and then row or ski a 5000m piece (or ride 10,000m on the BikeErg) on International Women's Day.

All athletes—not just those who identify as women—are welcome in this challenge. Help us celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness for equality.

For every person who takes part in our International Women's Day Challenge, Concept2 will donate $5 per participant up to a maximum total of $15,000.."

Managed to limp through a slow 10k despite Man flu!

I thought my 6x1k piece would count, but apparently not. Never mind.

Welcome back Carole, hope you are fine and get back to fitness soon.

Also had a go for the IWD. 5 k. To be precise. To be "Akkuratesse". No nanometer shorter or longer. Totally failed OCD.

Hey Jessica Red…welcome back into the saddle…take it steady.

I did my bit today…5,000m and knocked a minute off my season best 20:47.6 that’s av split of 2:04.7

Yes, it does have to be exactly 5,000m to count!
