First somewhat competitive result since BRIC 2021. Finally on my way back to regular training and fitness. Hopefully I don’t have to pay for ignoring coaches pace target of 1:50ish, but if you through the dog a bone….

Excellent row, Tako

Another one for me today. The last rep was a lot tougher then last time so I think this session was more balanced, not to careful in the first reps.

The strategy worked, but I think that's it for the month.
Great efforts all around, not looking forward to my feeble attempt.

Ian, doesn't look like holding on, not only was each faster than the last, but they were faster than the previous attempt ^O^ =D> ^O^

As always, some fine efforts going on here.
With apologies to Peter and Fred I've just posted 2792
It was actually a genuine attempt to try and pop ahead of Joe, and despite one of the rolling starts registering 3:35/500  seems a decent last couple of reps put me ahead of target.

Haha, congratulations, Wolfie. I'm off for a couple of days this weekend, so I don't think there will be a retry from me. Maybe Peter?

Had a rare second go at this and managed a 39m improvement to 2585m. Put most of my effort into the first 3 mins where I gained 28m, gained a bit more on the next two but then lost ground on the last 2 reps as my energy sapped out completely. Average was 1:56.0 this time (1:57.8 last time)

Some really great results here from Ian, Joe, Fred, Tako, Wolfie and Plummy =D> =D>

Huge kudos especially to those who have performed multiple attempts at what is a truly unpleasant row ^O^ ^O^

Well done everyone for having a go at this short sharp challenge, only really managed to go light for this as my trapezoid has been sore this last few days so not looking good for the IRL 2K.

That was a very impressive return to competitive erging Tako, well done!

It has been very tight between Wolfie, Fred and myself with 2792m, 2791m and 2790m. I thought it was time to change that and had my sixth go at this last night. The aim was of course to get ahead of you guys, so an improvement of at least 3m to get to 2793m. This is how it went:

First three reps went well, rep #4 was ugly and the final one felt like the longest minute I have experienced in a long time :D
Nevertheless very happy with an improvement by 14m :D

I am my own worst enemy. I am still feeling generally crap but I am determined to do the IRL and CTC for the month. The intention was to aim at 1:55 pace but ease right off if things were not pretty. It wasn't pretty.

I managed 2637 which is a pace of 1:53.8. Now I need to lie down for 48 hours!

Thanks for the positive words!
While it is still a long way to get back to where I was at BRIC 2021 (PB with 6:37.5) I am very happy with this month’s CTC. Finally back in Boat I (at least for now, still some days left)

Last day, finally got to this as I was busy focused on WRICH. Still a bit stiff and sore and still some repair required on a quad strain. So with the excuses out of the way I was happy enough with a sub 2 pace.

Overall 2512m at 1.59.4 av.

March looks much more like my thing.
