It's very clearly stated that Slides are legal for this CTC, so your time is fine and you can enter it with pride. Well done you.

Slides only possibly confer an 'advantage' if you have great technique, so I figure if there is an advantage it is deserved. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it is not big enough to justify all this faffing anyway.

I forgot to mention how impressive your time was, Mat. Serious respect for that!
And also wanted to mention Liefcat's impressive effort too - have to confess that it was only trying to catch it that kept me going when I was dying during the last 4 reps. (I thought I'd failed too!)

Asking for a friend - how close would another time from a LWT need to be for you to have another go? He's curious, and possibly a bit evil.
Methinks you speak with fork-tongue!! :^o - a "friend" indeed! Hmmm - dunno, maybe 3~5 seconds overall max. That said, maybe I should say 40 seconds, make your "friend" pull his tripe out and not bother having a second go, just sit back with a smug, satisfied expression... 8)
As luck would have it, my good friend put in a time. It turns out that he doesn't have an account on the C2CTC site so I let him use mine for now. Over to you Mr Plumb, but not in this heat!

Well done Spider. Great effort after all of the issues you’ve been battling.

I finally got to a 2nd go on this one, 6:21.5 - fell a little short of Lief's fabulous time. My wife was very concerned - she was like "you would go so hard and then just stop, I thought something was wrong". I'm like... yep, intervals. funsies.

Well done Rob! Just half a second off a seat in boat 1. I wonder if you will give your wife another demo by the end of the month!?

Just managed to squeeze this in after a OTW session this morning.
Hoping for <1:39 and managed 6:28.4 / 1:37.5
I'll take that.
Well done everyone!

Plummy was obviously not going to bite and have a go at beating my “friend” so I have put in another time.

With a bit of effort I think I could improve slightly, but work is probably going to get in the way of that.

I was tempted Jon but knew for a fact you'd contrived the time you achieved whilst in cruise mode and would just accelerate past me once I'd bitten on the bait. I instead managed to get my first 10k of the season done last night (it was horrible) to gather a few Nonathlon points instead. I appreciate the attempted tow though..
