Mentally tired, physically tired all the time (there's a lot going on at chez Plummy at the moment) but managed to fight off enough HD demons to complete an early entry - 25:31.7. Nothing left in the tank after that.
60 yrs old, 76kg, 5' 10"
43Mm metres rowed. Re-setting the bar much lower now. Getting too old for this malarky

Sorry to hear things are a bit challenging at the moment Plummy. All the more reason to congratulate you on putting in an early time =D> =D>

Hope you recover well...I had also these demons...I was not 100% fresh...managed the desired pb with all splits sub 1:45...so I am happy with that result.

I was aiming for a 1:58 pace, but things went easier then expected. Finished in 23:18.4 which is, I noticed afterwards, 0.6 seconds faster then Tako. Looks like you have to give it another go, Tako.

Nice score Fred and nice try , but not sure I will go again. Will have to see what my coach thinks about it when I am feeling better, but for now it is recovery time.

First successful attempt at this months challenge, 27:43.4
It hurt, the demons came out to play at around 3.5k, but that was 700m later than during my first (failed) attempt.

My Pete has just done his entry, his first row in a long time =D>
I have posted a very slow time as I have an injured toe as well as my other longstanding health issues but at least weve taken part and its got me to my 4 million season meters nonetheless and also our contributions to the team total for the virtual team challenge
We will try and better our times soon

Congratulations Carole!
All scores count, slow or fast!
However, completing 4MM for the season already in January with health issues is incredible!!
Really impressive!!!

I've gradually built up over the last 2 weeks from the 1k I managed at the end of December to my longest post-op row to date

6k - 23:18.7

It got a bit sticky at around 4k when I HD'd, but picked up again to get to the end

Really pleased in just managing the whole 6k today, and hoping to improve on this over the remaining 2 weeks

Well done all!

I am still not in the mood for entry into the “pain cave” but had another go aiming for 2:03 pace after my last effort at 2:05.

Pleased that I did better than planned. Sobering that this is slower than Mat who is recovering from hip surgery though Image

I put my first time in on January 1 and was please to occupy Boat 1 for a week or so until I was appropriately booted by you faster gentlemen. It took no time at all to fall through Boat 2 to Boat 3, but today, I gave it another shot and eked my way back onto Boat 2 for now with a 24:33 (2:02.8 pace).

I think it's helped that I picked up the two Concept 2 January challenges (team and individual) and have actually taken them to heart this time. I've not missed a day's rowing other than 1/6 where I was feeling kind of crappy after getting my Booster on 1/5.

I'm hoping by the end of the month to compete with the group bunched up at just under the 2:00 pace!

I've put my ~24 mins in from the other day, so you're now floating!

(It was freezing cold in the rowing shed this morning: -1.5 degrees!)

Should launch a few boats!
