You're doing amazingly well Dave. You've obviously come out the other side of whatever crisis you were facing earlier today.
Keep going, you're almost there.

some form of padding stuck on with blister tape? Like those big square dressings for major injuries?

I have 6cm of memory foam plus a C2 seat pad plus a gel pad - it's still not enough

Ouch. Whatever you have to hand to increase the cushioning would be good right now, I expect. Pure blister tape would at least stop the chafing going further?

Ouch. Does not sound fun. Do you have a baboon butt like Anke?

Good job on the decision to wrap up in Nunchritz, Plummy. You've got the upcoming day and a good space, if not the hide on your rear but so many wellwishers right there with you "behind the screens."
Each meter taken is another meter conquered. Keep it up, rest when you can, and back to battle.

Looks like Plummy kept to his word and has had only three hours sleep. He's already done 10k this morning and his remaining balance is down to 149,229 meters.

Not so much of this elephant left to eat, Dave. Reckon you're on to the tastier bits now. A mouthful at a time fella.
And without metaphor - make sure fuel and fluids are top notch today. You've kept on top of it really well all through - you must have done to get this far. =D>

Never again can we, mere mortals, complain about the hardship of a somewhat long row. Thanks to you, plummy.
In other words: you're an inspiration.

Anke was the the one that said she had a baboon butt! I think chafing was a major issue. Dave will write us a mini-novel about it once he has recovered.

You're kicking ass, Dave or is your ass kicking you? either way, it's all downhill from here, you can probably finish it off with just one hand, blindfolded. Super impressive determination
