Sorry, I've only known the songs once the answers have been given.
I'm not good at picking the lyrics.

This should help:

"I'm just an ordinary average guy
My friends are all boring
And so am I
We're just ordinary average guys

We all liead ordinary average lives
With average kids
And average wives
We all go bowling at the bowling lanes
Drink a few beers
Bowl a few frames
We're just ordinary average guys"

Maybe Joe Walsh ... ?
I would guess the title is "average guy" ? :-)

Good thing you are not good at picking the lyrics! 8)

The song is Ordinary Average Guy. Extra credit for correctly naming the singer.

Wolfie, are you there?

It is your turn (or, if you prefer, your go). :)

As Wolfie has gone AWOL and as I heard a song just now on the radio that I hadn’t heard in years and as it hasn’t been asked before, here goes.

Give me one good reason why I should never make a change

Thanks Paul.

I was considering posting another song. Even though I do not recognize yours, others probably have a better chance of knowing it than if I chose another.

Maybe another line would help.

Give me one good reason why I should never make a change
Baby if you hold me then all of this will go away

More recent than most of the songs that I post.

Are you in Dublin? Let me know if you fancy meeting up for a drink and a natter.

I think the second line may have helped. This sounds like:

Budapest by George Ezra

Thanks, Paul!

This song actually has very few words, but it's pretty... Let's start with:

Isn't the title "I can't help falling in love" though?

No.........it is "Can't help falling in love". 10 pedant points for me :fswink:

LoL - you guys jumped all over this one. Peter gave us the next line, but not the name of the song. Plummy gave us the name of the song with an extra word, and JonT got bonus points for making me laugh.

Over to Plummy who had the correct title within his string of words... ;)

Had I wanted to give a name, I would have put it in italics; quotes are for lyrics!

Back in time for this one (but heard it just yesterday on the radio)

"You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle"

First clue - used in an iconic scene from a 1994 movie

I’m guessing the movie is Pulp Fiction and the scene is probably the one where John Travolta dances with Uma Thurman. I think it starts with the line “She was a teenage queen” or something similar. I think it may be called “You never can tell”. Or I could be totally wrong about everything.

You are overly correct Paul. Chuck Berry was the artist who's version was used in the film

Thanks Plummy.

How about this one?

Well I’m so far away
Each step that I take’s on my way home

Time for a clue? 1990s power ballad by an American rock band.
