I don't think there is any point in providing more clues, so I'll fess up and say that the song is Hero, from the soundtrack of the 2002 🕷- Man movie.

As I do not wish to put up another song title, I'll nominate Plummy instead because if I hadn't got there first with Convoy, he would have done. :)

I don't know if Plummy has seen the above? If he has but would prefer not to put up another song title, then I'll leave it open for anyone else to take a turn. :)

I did see it but have had a couple of full-on days so it drifted off my radar, sorry.

Watched the video to this on The Old Grey Whistle Test (there's a clue to its age already) at my mates house on Friday...

Good-o Wolfie :-). The guitar instrumental seemed to go on for about three weeks whilst the lead singer probably went off for a pint somewhere!

All yours

OK - let's go back to the 80's (again)

Standing in line, marking time
Waiting for the welfare dime

Here's the whole first verse:

Standing in line, marking time
Waiting for the welfare dime
'Cause they can't buy a job
The man in the silk suit hurries by
As he catches the poor old ladies' eyes
Just for fun he says, "get a job"

I can hear Bruce Hornsby singing "That's Just the Way It Is" over & over in my head, but I think the actual title is the shortened version:

The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby & the Range

Thanks, Plummy - the first 10 songs I picked had already been debuted on this thread, so here's one that hasn't... :)

Somehow I made it through

The following lines:

I made it through the wilderness
Somehow I made it through
Didn't know how lost I was
Until I found you...

If no one gets this by Wednesday feel free to google the answer to check if anyone has got it correct as I'm going to be out of the loop for a couple of weeks from then...

I was pretty sure you were correct, Paul, but per Dave's post above, I Googled the lyrics and confirmed that yes, you are correct and have the next go! :)

Not sure at all but given it's a trilogy, is it connected to Back to the Future?
