Well, maybe Wolfie is still recovering from the concert.

As requested, additional lyrics:

"Gonna get high man I'm gonna get loose
Need me a triple shot of that juice"

No one else seems to either, so far.

I thought it is “one whisky”, not “one scotch” but I may be wrong

Yes Paul, you are wrong. :(

However, Wolfie is not entirely correct, either. Same mistake as last time! [-X

Since the concert was just last week, accuracy counts. 8)

Ha ha 😅
Having seen them several times I still think that is the title (original John Lee Hooker song perhaps?).
The story line is about not paying the rent, then making to a bar to drink for several hours.
I’m obviously stuck in my ways …

This had me intrigued, so I looked it up to check Wolfie's comments. (fyi, I know the title Peter's after, but not taking this one from Wolfie!)

Apparently, the original by Amos Milburn came out in 1953 with the title Wolfie forwarded. In 1966, John Lee Hooker covered it, but changed the order of the title. In 1977, it was covered again by George T & he incorporated another of Hooker's songs (House Rent Boogie) into his version. Fascinating stuff... :) Until today, I was only aware of the George T & D version of this song.

Thanks Ron, I was also not aware of this until today, (and actually not until a bit after you found out. )

However, neither the Amos Milburn nor the John Lee Hooker versions contain the originally posted lyrics or the follow up lyrics. So, now what? Do I wait for someone the name the George Thorogood version, or should I accept Wolfie's Amos Milburn title?

LoL! You're right, the lyrics were "adjusted" somewhat between versions. And since I can't tell if you're being facetious or pedantic, I'll just say, you do what ya gotta do, good sir! :) My only guiding comment is that this is all just for fun.

Oh crumbs, I guess I should hum/sing in my head more thoroughly…
Correct order now I think is “One Burbon, One Scotch, One beer”

Correct Wolfie.

However, to demonstrate Ron's pedantic claim, I will note that it is spelled "bourbon". #-o

Hey Peter - just for the record, no offense was intended. I thought you were being funny and tried to interject a little comedy into my advice column in return. If you were, as it appears now, being serious the whole time, I apologize for my comment.

Anyway... Cheers! :)

Serious or not, you were correct!!!

I tend to get involved in details. Except when I decide to just let it ride, and accept generalized responses, which, by definition, are somewhat incorrect.

None of this applies directly to this thread! #-o

Perhaps I was a bit miffed, since I was lying in bed and thinking of an elaborate response that invoked the Panel of Judges (and its legal consultant, the firm of Facetious and Pedantic), and concluded that the P of J was swayed by your filing and decided to award the next choice to Mr. Wolfmeister. However, Wolfie posted 15 minutes too early, and I could not use my fabulous response.

Now, in order to reassure you that I have not taken any offense, I can post most of my witty response, and not feel too guilty about it. :^o
