Name that tune
Listening to my iPod tonight, I figured it was time for a new thread. Set out a line (or less) from a song and whoever gets it first sets the next one. I'll start:
And the painting you stole from Picasso
Only one rule; no googling.

Ok, so (assuming I've got it right) try this:
Every time I look into your loving eyes.

Haven't a clue, but it sounds like something that either Lonnie Donegan or George Formby would sing.billwright wrote:Roy Orbison "You Got It!" I got it.

Re: Name that tune
Did someone say "Stairway to Heaven"?
For some reason, this version with the Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Army Choir cracks me up. The hair? The outfits? The Choir? The sunglasses? I'm not sure.

The only one I've recognised so far is Stairway to Heaven. Whose idea was it to start this thread, anyway?

Re: Name that tune
Maybe if we restricted it to hit singles, we might have more people recognising the tunes. Ideally from the 1960s, if I'm going to have any chance of recognising them.

OK, my favorite lyrics are for "The Trees" by Rush. But as that would be way too obscure, try an easy one ...
