Peter, having just eaten a 🐟 supper, the ' scales have now fallen from my eyes ' ... or possibly, it could have been your latest clue.

Hello, I love you, will/won't you tell me your name. I should have recognised this song a lot sooner. #-o

Thank you Peter - sometimes my little grey cells can be described as a whiter shade of pale.

I do have a Doors LP which is safely packed away in the attic and although Richard has a working turntable, I haven't played anything on it for ages.

Grey cells at the ready:

The head nurse spoke up
Said, ' Leave this one alone '
She could tell right away

So, keeping to anatomy, we move from brain cells to bones.

I need a break from posting tunes that people don't know. I will not name this one unless nobody else can.

Hm, those are strong lyrics. Should be I nstantly recognisable, if you know them!
Sorry, another one I can’t decipher.

Peter, perhaps it is time for you to man up, step up, and come up with the answer.

Unless I am mistaken, anyone can access the FS forums but only post comments if they are members of the club. It's quite possible then, that many non-members also look at this forum and recognise your tune choices. Come on now, glass half full and not half empty. :)

Hi Jill. Before seeing your post, I decided to share the pain with you and name the tune, rather than just saying "it is bad no one can name it". Really bbbbbbad. But, I decided to "person up" and save you.

It is not a question of whether non-members know the song. If I really thought I was the only one in the entire world who knew the songs I post, I would really give up. :(

However, it does not matter if the glass is half full or half empty -- there is room for more wine! 🍷

Oh, by the way, it's Bad To The Bone by George Thorogood. 8)

Thank you Peter, that's brilliant.

Last year, George Thorogood and The Destroyers played the UK as part of their 50th Anniversary Tour and Steve attended a performance on July 26th 2022. Perhaps it's Steve who needs saving, so I had better send him some xxxx.

I will try these lines, since they jumped into my head  .

If they do not work, there is not much else to post that does not have the song title in it. (But it is a good song, no matter how the previous sentence sounds. And no, these are not hints!)

Jill, it looks like hundreds of your non-members have looked at the lyrics. All I need is for one of them to join and post! [-o<

While we are waiting, I will try a few more lines.

Last try:

"You gotta go where you wanna go
Do what you wanna do
With whoever you wanna do it with"

Originally written and recorded by a California group, and then recorded by another California group.

Pulling the pin here.

Whatever that means?

Anyway, no one here knows Go Where You Wanna Go by The Mamas and Papas, later cover by The Fifth Dimension.  #-o

Anyway (again #-o #-o ), rather than say "someone else post the next one", I am going to post another and let the correct namer choose next. (Yes, I know this one has been used before, but by this time I am desperate!)

"Molly is the singer in a band."

Steve, usually I would say "choose something I know for the next song". However, I would rather not be tempted to answer and then try to find a song that at least one other person remembers! ](*,)

So, your turn, without any other requests.

Opening lines (one of my favourite song intros (not the lyrics):

Oh, the heads that turn
Make my back burn

The whole first verse:

Oh, the heads that turn
Make my back burn
And those heads that turn
Make my back, make my back burn

1985 original release but didn't chart very high. In my view it's an instantly recognisable intro (but of course, easy when you know it)

This is getting no nibbles, let alone bites so I'll cull it. It was She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult.

Happy for someone else to chuck in the next one.

In order to get things moving again, here are the opening lines of a song that should be very familiar to our American members. Maybe not so well known this side of the Atlantic.

Nibblin' on sponge cake
Watchin' the sun bake
M 68 6'1" 124kg (May05), 92kg (Feb06), 122kg (Aug10), 95kg (Sep11), 117kg (Jun13), now 98kg

Does that clue mean it's Jimmy Buffett and Marguerita Time? Not an artist I really know and a song I barely know but his passing was widely reported and the song part played a few times
