Muscat 0 Phuket 1

Post by giles »

Hi all,

Will be leaving Muscat on Sunday for a new role in Phuket, Thailand. Next time you see me on here, I'll be rowing under a different flag!

Been a crazy couple of weeks, hence the lack of metres. C2 is packed though and should get to Thailand in a month or so.

Cheers to all and keep eating up those metres!

Hope the move (and new job) goes well Giles.
I'm sure Thailand will be a better environment to live?
Will be plenty hot & humid for the rowing though!

I'm here in Thailand, but with no erg in sight I've been a but sheepish on the boards. Bit of a bummer, but should get access towards the middle of Feb. Still no metres logged in 2011!

So far so good though, looking like a great place to live, work and bring up children.

Cheers to all...

Erg arrived during the week and now back on the boards - more on the 'training today' thread.

Phuket is great for sport - many options available. Great running and triathlon scene, so might explore that with the rowing on the side. Will run a half marathon in June and a full marathon next year (before I turn 40) so will be an interesting year!

Thanks to all for the encouragement!
