My daughter, Megan, had a Flat Stanley project due the week of May 3, 2010. She turned it in today and it looks very good. Thanks all for passing him around, sending back the photos and helping Megan out. =D>

I am posting some of the photos below, and perhaps we can keep Flat Stanley visiting the various team members. His initials seem all to appropriate :fswink:

Flat Stanley is a paper cutout "kid" that my daughter was assigned to mail out and write about his adventures abroad. So far he has been to CRASH B (with me), EIRC (Plummy), Norway (Odd) , and Australia (Philip & Hazel). Here is his photo at CRASH B:

He can come to Finland with us in July, if he likes. PM for my address if Stanley likes to come. Make sure his passport is up to date!

Flat Stanley came to Norway and visited our family here, and it was great  . And i hope he had a good time here as well, even though it was very cold for a "person" from Texas. I have sent some pictures to Bill and Megan showing some of the people he met here.
I can`t copy pictures into these Forum pages, so please Bill, feel free to post one or two!

Bill, Stanley is welcome to return to Boston. He can visit places from the Revolutionary War or take a trip on the Charles River (I promise to put him in a ziploc bag!)

What account did you send the pictures to? I don't see it on my gmail account. You can also post pics on the forum using the upload attachment tab that is under the "save/preview/submit" button bar when you compose messages.

I will have to check with Philip to see if they still have him, if so, we can continue the tour. Maybe have him hit New Zealand befor setting off back the Americas and Europe.

I have not received anything today on my gmail account. Please check that you spelled my name "badocter" with the "er" at the end and not "or". Probably be best if I email you and you reply. I appreciate the effort.

The trouble with having too good a party is that you never know where you will wake up. :^o [-X In this case, F.S. woke up in Manchester where he made some new friends.

I somehow have missed the Flat Stanley thread. I love the idea and of course I am prepared to host Stanley here in NZ, I will Pm my address and Mail box number in due course, we live near to the historic Marae at Waitangi which overlooks the beautiful Bay of Islands, where the Treaty was signed with the Maori tribes.

I am sorry i cannot include my address right away but I dont know it... Honest...what a dork!! #-o

I have PM'd you Philip's contact information so that you can arrange for him to send you F.S. TWP or Bartman may want to see him as well while he is in NZ. :fswink: Then again, if we are going for max distance, maybe we will have to alternate between NZ and America and Europe a few times 8) BTW, Boris has dibs on him for July, and Emily wants another round in Boston (at which point he will have circumnavigated the world).

Happy to welcome the flat guy over to Wales :D

After all, the only part of the UK he's seen so far is England, so it'd be nice for him to see the nicer parts   (I speak of course as an Englishman, who has been more than happy to adopt his new country   )

Flat Stanley and Free Spirits >> FS & FS. Was that a coincidence?

Some great pics of our favourite Super Lightweight. It seems to me that Flat Stanley should be present at all events (if Megan agrees.) I'm sure that Chris and the boys would have been inspired to have him for their 24 hours, and Plummy and Iain too. Maybe he could do a Trans-Atlantic hop during the next 72h relay. I for one would be honoured to have a picture with him.

(It might be necessary to laminate him at some stage - to keep him warm)
