I can do the Wednesday one. Probably going to have to do a 2.5k on Thursday instead, but I'll register for now anyway

Yep, I'm sure. Lots of "Evaluation Users" register for the sessions.whizzer wrote:Hi Lee, are you sure? Do I have to sign up to another Forum first, (oarbits or something).Doc RowSlo wrote:Yepwhizzer wrote: I have the trial version of Rowpro. Can I go online with this ?
Just start RowPro >> Control Center >> Oarbits.
I think that the first time that you do this, you have to enter the e-mail address that you gave them when you got your trial software key and give them a password.
From there you can find the sessions under "Session List" and register by checking the appropriate box.
After this you'll be able to access the sessions via the internet at http://www.digitalrowing.com/Oarbits/Schedule.htm# without using RP.

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Lee, the buttons are greyed out/inactive . Thought this would be to do with only being a trial version.
I've downloaded a w/out from the digitalrowing library to store in my rowpro but it hasn't appeared.

Hi Whizzer the trail version will give you the full program, things for you to check are
1- have you set yourself up in your profile
2- have you set yourself as the current user and not as the guest
3- Can you actually get online (row pro server) when in session set up
1- have you set yourself up in your profile
2- have you set yourself as the current user and not as the guest
3- Can you actually get online (row pro server) when in session set up

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
I've just installed a trial version on another PC. It worked fine for me.colin bradley wrote:Hi Whizzer the trail version will give you the full program, things for you to check are

I think that the problem may well be what Colin has suggested above: Make sure that you are selected as the current user and not "Guest".
Then when you first start Oarbits, it prompts you for your e-mail address and password that you used to get the trial license.
Enter all of that and you're ready to row on-line.

Thanks for your patience with me on this Lee and Colin.colin bradley wrote:Hi Whizzer the trail version will give you the full program, things for you to check are

I have set myself up as the 'User'.
I have put in my profile under the Oarbits tab (email and password etc). When I click next I get a computer type dialogue page popping up saying that I'm not registered. (loads of computer speak sort of jargon).
There is also three options (radio buttons) at the bottom of the profile page. Which one of these should I have ticked?
Thanks.

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Do you mean the "Publish" options at the bottom of the profile page on the Oarbits website?whizzer wrote:Thanks for your patience with me on this Lee and Colin.colin bradley wrote:Hi Whizzer the trail version will give you the full program, things for you to check are

If so, I don't think that it matters but I've ticked "Name only".
Or is this via the RowPro program itself? If so, you only get that the first time that you select the Oarbits Tab. What are the 3 radio buttons?
Have you used the same e-mail address for both getting a trial license key and registering with Oarbits?
Other than that, I have 2 suggestions:
1. e-mail Digital Rowing
2. Try reinstalling RowPro as there have been numerous glitches like this in the past.

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Thanks Lee . Yes the 3 button options are the publish ones.
I only have one email address and so have only ever used that. I'm sure I never had to put in a password so that should not conflict.
I'll give it another try tomorrow, (time constraints now),if no good Ill mail digital rowing.
Thanks for your help.
Gary.

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Gary, you shouldn't actually have to go near the Digital Rowing >> Oarbits website to get up and running. In fact, I'm pretty sure that you need to enter the profile information via RowPro before you'll be able to change your profile via that website.whizzer wrote:Thanks Lee . What happens when you run RP and then select Control Center >> Oarbits ?
The first time you do this, it should ask for your e-mail address, a password and then your 2k time etc. It also asks for the name of your computer, but you can call it whatever you want I think.
Have you done all of this?

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Hi Lee, sussed it. The name of the laptop wasn't what I thought it was.
Daughter had some silly name for it.
I have signed up for a 45 min row with Jason and Colin on Thursday 10am. Just gotta hope I can get it set up on the day.
Thanks for all your help.

One of the nice things about doing a fixed time, rather than a fixed distance, is that everyone finishes together.whizzer wrote: Oh well , if its quicker than about 2:12 pace Ill be drifting off .

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Suprised how quick the 45 mins went by whilst rowing online.
Ended with a 2:08.5 pace. Thats good for me.
Took it steady to let Colin get back in sight towards the end, (he had stopped for 2mins), then had a good sprint for the line with him.
Cheers Colin.
BTW ,whats with the star bangled banner on my boat. Have to get that changed.

Re: 2 Sessions for any early rises.
Glad you enjoyed it Gary
However that 564+m I lost by taking the 2mins rest took some getting back I had to break my HR cap of 162 a couple of times to close you down but a good session all the same, the following session on RP a 30 mins started ok but the end of the 1st 15mins @ 2:04 r22 really was hard in fact I had to up the rating to hold pace towards the end ,it was good to get onto the last 15min @ 2:08 r20
