Thank you for the recommendation Steve - over the years, we have often talked about visiting Iceland ... We might make it yet.Wolfmiester wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 6:53 pm I (well, the family and I) have just had 4 days sight seeing in Iceland, and I'm posting this to say if you are even slightly thinking about going then its a must!

Thank you for the update Paul and sorry that there is still uncertainty about your plans, although it does sound as if you are going to choose what many of us would see as the sensible option.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:08 pm At this stage, our planned trip to Alvor in mid July is looking very doubtful. The 14 day quarantine for those arriving in Ireland from abroad is still in place and friends of ours who were due to be in Alvor at the same time as us have cancelled their flights.
On the plus side, my home gym is not subject to quarantine while the gym in Alvor is currently closed and probably won't be open next month if we do end up going over there!

Thanks Steve. So far, so good. The curfew has been lifted and restaurants and bars can now stay open until 2 am (if their licence permits).
That's great Steve. Hope you have a fantastic time over there.Wolfmiester wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 12:21 pm Finally, after a number of attempts and failed visas and cancelled flights we are off to Australia for the first time for 4 years to see our two kids.
One in Sydney and one in Melbourne, with a week on a beech in Noosa, just above Brisbane, thrown in as well.
3 years of saved up kiddie hugs on the way for the next 3 weeks![]()
