Do you mean you need to get full license or just need to update your profile. If it is the latter, you can not change your online name from within rowpro , you have to go their website insteadkingy2 wrote:I'm in, still an evaluation user, I must sort that out.
1) go to the digitalrowing.com website
2) Select from the top menu: Customers \ My Account
3) Select: My Profile
3) login to your account
4) Fill in your first and last name - this is the name you will see in the participant list when you are registering for a session and in the results list
5) Fill in your "computer name" - this is the name that will be shown for you in the online chat before the race. (first time I entered this field I thought that they really meant my computer name, so in my first race I was known as "Toshiba Laptop"
6) Fill in "Best Time for 2000m" as this shows on the participant list for sessions

Thanks Bill, sorted now. I had already done that and nothing changed. It appears I have registered twice some how with 2 different e-mail address' and I'd altered the wrong one

What is everyones target pace then? My PB is 1:49 pace and I guess I will be aiming to beat that.

On target pace wise I'll know better after tonight's row, but I think if I don't PB and don't have a damn good reason I'll be pretty pissed . So 1:46/1:47 ish

Re: Rowpro 30' CTC Thursday June 5, 18:30 GMT
Thomas' pace predictor says I should be shooting for 1:54.1 (7889m) based on my recent 5k and 60' PB. Both of those sessions hurt plenty and I would be happy to get the 167m improvement, however...I like nice round numbers, so will be shooting for 1:53.9 to get the 7900m.
BTW, the other thread was the original thread My bad.

If I can finish work early enough (and if there is any space) I'll give this ago. Right off pace but getting back into it and this would be a good measure on how far is left.

There are seven registered - one place left! I'd check before rushing home. Book early to avoid disappointment

Re: Rowpro 30' CTC Thursday June 5, 18:30 GMT
Zaphod posted on another thread that the server is telling him the race is full even though it is only showing 7 participants. It seems like from the traffic here on these threads there is enough interest to man a second race. If anybody else tries to register for this one and gets the same message that the race is full, I suggest you set up a second race that starts 10 minutes or so after the main one - more than likely a few will join you. The 10 minute delay will give anybody that gets dropped at the start of the main one (which seems to inevitably happen to 1 or 2) enough time to reregister for the second session.

I'll move it to this thread where it probably belongsbadocter wrote:Zaphod posted on another thread that the server is telling him the race is full even though it is only showing 7 participants.
Yeah, I'll join a second race instead, that might work - I've emailed the RowPro people to have them look into it, but as it looks the race server wont let me in because it claims there are already 8 people in the race (but the participant list shows only 7).
Update: Got this from the Rowpro people :
So I'll look for a second raceRowpro wrote:Thanks for reporting this. I have asked our developers to investigate.
It appears to be a bug in our system, and I think it's likely the session will be rowed before we sort it out.

2 hours to go. I notice that an overflow session has been set up at 18:35 by 2 non-FS'r since the main one is full (some bug is limiting the main session to 7 instead of 8 ). Anybody who wants a go tonight and isn't registered should give them some company

Looks like it was a great race - wish I could have joined in but didn't want to risk and injury
Maybe you can run another one later in the month

We'll definitely do this again Plummy, although they are rarely real "races" just doing it together is much better than pulling away on your own (ooh er Mrs).
And seeing some participants PB makes it even more worth while.

Re: Rowpro 30' CTC Thursday June 5, 18:30 GMT -- COMPLETED
I have a bit of a dose at the moment (bloody rapidly changing weather temps) and found myself overheating VERY badly only 500m to 750m in, so knew a PB was not on the cards and dropped back to Thomas's and Andy's group with the hope to finish the row . By about 2K in I was back to normal-ish temperatures and rowed a reasonably comfortable rest of race .
Very happy I rowed AND FINISHED the row and the 2K cooldown after, 10K . I was 50/50 on whether I was going to row the race as my gym session earlier showed I was a few seconds of normal pace, but sometimes you can still row well even when a bit ill .
Thanks all

Re: Rowpro 30' CTC Thursday June 5, 18:30 GMT -- COMPLETED
I had completely the wrong idea about my PB and when it looked like I would miss it (aiming for 1:49.0 split) and with a heart rate of 192 with 9 minutes to go, I eased back and nearly handled down. With 1 minute to go I thought "ah well, I can get 8200 if I sprint" and duly posted an 8200m row.
Found out later that my PB is 8,204...
I would have smashed that if I had known that was the target!
