Accidentally set a new 2K PB today of 7:33.4, a betterment of 3.7 seconds over my 2016/17 season time. See the October CTC thread for the story... :D

This time was no accident - After several weeks of building up to it along with a handful of failed attempts, I finally managed to achieve a PB in the elusive 10K today. Finished nearly 8 seconds faster than my previous best with a 39:49.5.

With this row, this is officially my "Season of PB's" as I've managed to PB every row this season that I track. I plan to also PB the 1 Min row for the IRL this month, but I hate it so much that I don't consider it a real row... :D :D

This doesn't mean I won't try again next season (or try to improve yet this season), but I've got to think this has been a banner rowing year for me!

Great pacing Ian - and assuming it's a PB (it's on the PB thread) - as you say, it's a cracking start to a Monday =D> =D>

Thanks all - I've some crazy ideas to get closer to 1:20 but only when I've had too much coffee.

If that’s 2k+5 that must put your 2k pace around 1:53.x so I guess that with a fair wind and a strong finish 7:12??

I'm clearly far too easily led. Six second off my previous PB.

I was just paddling initially, then thought I'd have a go at a negative split. No prizes for guessing when I though a decent time was on the cards
