Where to go on a big birthday

Post by webberg »

Later this year - November - I hit the big 7-0.

A new age category to disappoint in of course but this will also be post my official retirement from working.

I'm looking for a place to visit to celebrate in style.

Doesn't have to be warm and sunny but does need to be interesting, have access to alcohol (responsibly of course) and be suitable for me, my wife and adult children and partners.

Perhaps a week at most.

Make your pitch here.

(By the way some things are a definite "no", such as a cruise, anything high, bungie, anything to do with trains).
Uphill to the finish

Hitchhiker’s Guide would say the Norwegian fjords
And the alcohol prices will keep consumption at reasonable levels
