I'm sure there are plenty of cinema goers out there. (I know I am one)
So, what were the best and worst films that you saw last year (2024)?

Best: Conclave
Worst: Megalopolis
For me, the best was Conclave. Loved how it could have gone in 100 different directions, and even then, it still managed to take a twist that I had not seen coming. A rare joy in a world where many films are so formulaic and predictable. Incredible acting across the board. Brilliant cinematography. Brilliant sound-track.
And the worst would have to be Megalopolis - (WTF what that all about???
- the 'demented fever dream' reviews seemed spot on to me)
(Bonus vote for best Soundscape for Dune Part 2 - had the chance to watch it again in IMAX and it is one film that needs to be seen (and particularly HEARD) that way to do it true justice.)

Not really a film goer but have seem some things.
Best is probably a film version of a play called Prima Facie which stars Julie (Judy?) Comer. Excellent one handed play.
Worst film? Not in 2024 but I hated all the Hunger Games films which my kids forced me to watch.

The only film I saw twice so far is Sinners, so by that metric, it gets a star. And I’d see it again too.
Least enjoyed - probably Alto Knights. Even with a double helping of De Niro, I still struggled on this one.
