Row the Distance: Row the UK Challenge
As I'm covering distance as part of the Crazy Bear stuff, I thought I'd also put myself down for the 'Row the UK Challenge'.
This is John O' Groats to Land's End - Total of 874 miles (1,398,481m).
Currently 36 days in and past half way, but there is still some distance to go...

46 Days in - Closing on Bristol and the turn down towards Cornwall for the last leg.
CTC has made the last couple of days a bit tougher, but the distance work is flowing...

Have just noticed that I've also passed the 1 million meter mark on this challenge too (on Day 45).
Sobering to think that our own David Plumb did his solo million in 7 days....

I'll wave as you pass Bristol (though at your rate you're likely in Exeter by now.....).

Re: Row the Distance: Row the UK Challenge
Haha. I was thinking, when we do Graham's team relay, we should see if we can construct a route across the UK via the locations of the UK based Free Spirits, and get them to 'wave' as the relay passes...Ian Bee wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2025 9:46 am I'll wave as you pass Bristol (though at your rate you're likely in Exeter by now.....).

Pop on to the Avon and over to Bath. I'll put the kettle on.
58 years old, 5"10', clinging on to 75kg and frustratingly but understandably inconsistent

Re: Row the Distance: Row the UK Challenge
Well, as mentioned above, we considered setting up a Free-Spirits Tour of the UK, if someone can set up a thread to collection the locations we'd need to visit.
Giving you a distant wave, Jon, as I head towards Weston-super-Mare! Keep up the great work with the website!
