Flags

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

Flags

Post by Tina Gallasch »

My flag has disappeared from the meter board, although it was there (honest it was) a few days ago. I have it in settings correctly as Aust. What have I done to stuff it up?(she said plaintively).

I'm not sure what you did Tina, but I've fixed it for you.

Hi Jon,
I really hope that I'm directing this question correctly. When I logged in today it seems that I have been made an honorary member of Great Britain, while I like Britain alot I'm actually Swedish :) I had a Swedish flag yesterday but now I have british flag beside my name on the meterboard. I have tried to change it in the "User Control Panel" flag override but nothing happens (it actually still said SWE). Do you have an idea of what is going on, or if there is anything I can do to change it back to Swedish again?
/Eric

Update! Clicking on the "This is me"-button fixed it :)

Eric,

Assuming you are Eric M on the Meterboard, you are showing as firmly in Sweden when I look at it. Is it still showing the wrong flag for you? Try Ctrl-Shift-R in the browser to force it to fully refresh the page - there may be an issue with your browser cache. Let me know if you still have this issue.

Hi Jon,
Yes thats me. I guess I inadvertently changed to my full name in C2 logbook for a short while, then I got told that I had to press "this is me"-button and that I guess reconnected it to the info in the logbook. Now it shows up correctly, thank you for your concern :)

Actually, I’ve still got a blank against my name, when I would really love to see the Aussie flag again. What I might do is try and change it to a UK flag and see if that works. After all I was born in York so I qualify as an honorary Brit. If that works I’ll change it back to Aust.

Tina, the Meterboard picks up your nationality from Concept2. You should only have to enter one yourself if you want to override that one. I have removed the override that you put in and it has popped you back in Oz, which I guess is what you have registered with C2.

Hi Jon, I changed my nationality in C2 as well, but it's defaulted back to Australia. But there's still a white square by my name. It's OK, I can live with it.

The nationality was overwritten as 'Eng' Tina. Setting it to 'ENG' has given you the Saint George's Cross. Let's see if that settles down now. If nothing odd happens I will change it to AUS for you.

Nope - I'm still stateless :) I'll check the C2 log and just make sure I haven 't done anything stupid; although I looked yesterday and it seemed to be fine.
