Dear Philip, you are such a gent
And I promise it is my intent
To help holler, " Anchors away "
Alas though, not on this day
' Cos ' my energy levels are spent
Philip, due to a change of plan, I've had to complete the Dog Day Challenge today, and now need a couple of rest days but I will give the CTC a go on Tuesday. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Well done all on a challenge which proves to be every bit as horrible as we’d expected
It’s been a bit of a bumpy couple of months for me training-wise with very little regularity, but I realised last night that the month was running out fast so I gave this a shot this morning.
To be fair, the first couple of intervals were okay; over quickly with a bit of short-sliding. After that it quickly got a bit rough

53, 6'2" and trying to get back to 95kg post hip replacement. Looking back fondly on past achievements I've no chance of repeating

It is possible that some ladies might be on holiday or even, not very well.
I would also like to take this opportunity to give a special mention for Clare, because of her excellent record of participation in the CTC. Thank you Clare,
