Sounds Bon-Jovi-ish or Guns and Roses - not a clue about the song title.

Good guess Paul. It’s Bon Jovi.

Here’s the opening couple of lines.

At this stage, I have to accept that nobody knows Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi.

As Paul G came closest, I think he should put up the next song.

Thank you Paul - it's not that often that I recognise a lyric straight away.

Paul V, I hope that they were happy ones.

I have just been watching Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth dancing to this song. Brilliant editing. Please, no googling. :fswink:

Very famous English rock group.

Well, I know it's LZ, but I've always had difficulty remembering their song titles. They're generally not as straightforward as they could be... :D

Ron, spot on with the name of the group. The song title consists of three words which describe a music genre. Think the fifties perhaps.

There doesn't seem to be any point in giving more clues, so the answer is Rock and Roll. As Ron was correct about it being Led Zepperlin, I will hand the baton over to him. Okay Ron, away you go.

Been on a golfing trip the last couple of days. Here's the preceding line. I'm sure we've all heard this song many times. :) I was surprised to see it hadn't been posted here before.

One of the most successful rock & roll bands in the world, and they're still active today.

Highway to Hell? (random guess because I can kind of force fit the words into the tune as I recall it)
60 yrs old, 76kg, 5' 10"
43Mm metres rowed. Re-setting the bar much lower now. Getting too old for this malarky

LoL, sorry for the misdirection, Peter. Ian had the right of it - it was a major hint as to the band name. With the band name now known and Plummy's latest super-hot guess (as in the old game, hotter is closer, colder is farther away), I'll give the opening lines to see if anyone can zero in:

I'm rolling thunder, pouring rain,
I'm coming on like a hurricane.
White lightning's flashing across the sky.
You're only young but you're gonna die.
