No takers yet?
I'm surprised Wolfie hasn't got it yet
Some more lyrics then:

"All day long, I think of things
But nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind
If I don't find something to pacify"

A Brum band.

Thank you Paul; it must have been something to do with my inherited ( paternal grandfather's ) Brummie genes.

My choice has a Liverpool/Sheffield connection:

I didn't think that this one would last very long as that is correct Paul.

The Beatles wrote the song, hence the Liverpool connection but for extra Brownie Points who was the Sheffield born singer who sang a cover version?

Anyways, over to you.

I recognised the lyrics straight away, but it took me a few minutes to place it.

It’s Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day.

Wow, someone else must also know this!

I saw this post about 6 hours ago and did not answer since we are flying to Japan tomorrow and do not think I can properly monitor the thread, so I did not want to post another of my oft times obscure songs.

Time to give this one up: it was I Won't Back Down. ( Tom Petty )

Better luck with this perhaps ...

Oh Peter! You are now in double trouble because not only did you know the Tom Petty song before the title was revealed, you are also correct with ' We Will Rock You '. :) =D> Can you cope with this self inflicted punishment?

Well, they do say 'be careful what you wish for', but that is not the next lyric. This is:

"My friend's got a Chrysler, I got a Dodge."

I know this song has not been used here before, not sure if it charted in the UK, etc., but it is 9:42 PM here in Japan and on the train back from a day of drinking and eating in Chichubu, you get what you get!

Why do I do this? ](*,) Again! #-o

I will try some more lyrics and then give up.

"And every Saturday we work in the yard
Pick up the dog doo
Hope that it's hard
Take out the garbage and clean out the garage
My friend's got a Chrysler
I've got a Dodge"
