OK. PHP upgrade of live site was not at all pretty. I have discovered that the error detection for PHP 8.2 on the development and live site were configured differently. This means that switching to 8.2 on the live site just generated 100s of error messages. I'll start to review them all, but I have a busy weekend ahead and so I'm not sure how far I will get.
Meanwhile I have moved the live site back to PHP 7.4 so hopefully everything will still be working.
Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?
