Afraid not. I think I'll give the next line.

We're going to blast our way through here

I though this one would go rather quickly. Some additional lines.

Hand out the arms and ammo
We're going to blast our way through here
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here

Paul, after much head scratching, the last two lines of the verse finally rang some bells - is it Something In The Air by Thunderclap Newman?

Well, I did say it was a one hit wonder. Number 1 hit in the UK, but only reached number 37 in the Billboard top 100. Featured in some movies and TV shows.

It rings a bell, but I can’t quite place it. 1960s Rolling Stones?

Paul and Peter, you are correct about The Rolling Stones - not sure if the song was covered by others.

I do not think that providing anymore lyrics will be of any use but perhaps these two clues will help instead ...

What could someone be if they were a guerrilla?

In normal times, there would be plenty of these in Doncaster town centre on a Friday/Saturday night ( or any night come to that ) after the pubs had closed.

It’s funny. I can hear the first two lines of those lyrics running through my head, but I can’t remember the name of the song.

Paul, I think we had better call it a day on this one - it's Street Fighting Man.

As you were first to suggest the Rolling Stones, I'll leave it up to you to come up with the next brain teaser. :)

OK. Time for a clue.

The song was co-written by an American singer-songwriter who had a hit with it in the early 1960s. It was then recorded by another American singer-songwriter in the early 1980s and was a number 1 hit in the UK.

A bit more background. The artist who had a hit with the cover version in the early 1980s had his greatest period of success in the early 1970s. And even though it was a long, long time ago, I can still remember the opening lines of his most famous song.
