Should Tyson fight again?

Post by paulgould »

As a massive erstwhile fan of Mike Tyson, I would love to see him fight again.
He has got himself into awesome shape, lost 100 lbs and judging from the videos of his training sessions for last night's exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr, still has some speed and that phenomenal power and aggression.
If he can get his head in the right place, even at the age of 54 he has nothing to fear from the current crop of heavyweights. The best of the bunch at the moment is Tyson Fury, who is skilful but not very powerful for a man of his size.
Joshua is an impressive physical specimen but not a very skilled boxer and seems to lack the raw aggression required. Wilder is just a big puncher whose lack of boxing skills was exposed by Fury.

It may be wishful thinking on my part, but I really think a focussed, fit Tyson could re-ignite the heavyweight boxing scene.
