We talking about glam rock here or disco bubblegum pop?
Very late 70's and I think Glam Rock was done by then. Not bubblegum pop either

Here's another two lines (in fact, the first 2 lines):

I'm out of this one I think.

Very late 70's for me was when I moved in heavy/death/dark metal.

Anything in the mainstream at that time would have passed me by.

Good luck all.

Is that Sniff and the Tears? Can't remember the title, I'm guessing wildly on all fronts here - "Driver Seat" (or Beat)

Steve has it - correct with Driver's Seat by Sniff and the Tears. No shame in having not heard of them as it was rather a one off - but did rather well and still gets played regularly on BBC radio

Perhaps we should have a thread where you list all/some of the music played in a film and you have to guess the film?

It's difficult enough as it is with hit records or film dialogue on its own. Music from films!!!

I have to say, I’ve never heard of them either. Listened to the song just now on YouTube and I can’t remember ever hearing it before. The 60s is more my era than the 70s.

I reckon you would know a lot more than you think.

For example:

The End by the Doors
I can't get no satisfaction by the Rolling Stones
Love me by Robert Duvall
Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner
Let the Good times roll by Shirley Goodman
Surfin' Safari credited to Brian Wilson but I think the Beach Boys were nearly all present

Name that film. Big hint in the fourth track.

Happy with that one, first lines worked. Bang in my era, and yes Dave, Ken Bruce does seem to play it every few months.
I'm retiring at the end of this month and one of my ambitions is to get on his 'pop master' quiz. So listen out in Dec :-)

Very envious of the "retiring".

Been trying to do that and coming under increasing pressure to do that for a while now.

Apocalypse now is correct.

Try

Hooked on a feeling by Blue Suede (love the fact that Wiki has this as Blue Swede)
Go all the way by the Raspberries
Spirit in the sky by Gordon Greenbaum
Moonage Daydream by David Bowie

I could go on but the above all appear in the first 20 minutes or so.

Correct - although to be completely pedantic, I think the song title is eponymous - "Gordon is a moron" is the chorus, Jilted John is the title

I believe it is your go.
