That would be OK with me. Happy to make up the numbers if you get any last minute crew members for a second team, but also ok with being left out.

Same here. Two teams would be fun, but no bother to be left out if we can't manage it. And if you get a few last minute takers just throw me in a team. I'm miles from anyway with no rower in sight, so I put a distance in before I left home just in case. Louise

Thanks for your replies guys and gals, it looks like we're going to have one team then:

Steve (Wolfmiester)
Marta (MSI_11)
Felton (Caratacus)
Fred (fkoene)
Philip (Pepe)
Max (MaxMacLaren1)
Dave (plummy)
Peter (Grobi)
Andrea (AngeLC)
Guy (GuidonTheBee)

Next question is how to name this team. My suggestion is to create a new team, so neither "Free Spirits Team Philip" nor "Free Spirits Team Guy".
Reason number one being that both Philip and Guy are onboard and I don't want any arguing between them about the team name :D
Reason number two is that in both teams there are still people listed that don't compete this season but did so last season (the start up of the teams is carried over from last season). These people would have to unselect their team affiliation to make room for the new team mates. Otherwise they would block the seats. I'm afraid some of these team mates from last season are not following this thread or might even have left the team, so there would be a real danger we couldn't get all ten people in either team Philip or team Guy.

So could everyone in the list above please go to their Indoor Rowers League profile, then go to TEAM_NAME and select „Free Spirits“ (which I just created :D ):

Shame we couldn’t get two teams out again this year.

Hi everyone,

could I please remind you that selecting "Free Spirits" as TEAM_NAME (and the rowing of course :D ) has to be done by the end of the month, which is the coming Monday. As of now only Fred and I have selected "Free Spirits" and entered a score:

Andrea, Dave, you both have entered a score but under "Free Spirits Team Philip", your last season's affiliation. Could you please change that to "Free Spirits"?

Everybody else, please select "Free Spirits" and enter a score, thanks :fswink: Sorry for being so persistent but it's kind of an urgent matter.

I definitely selected Free Spirits - double checked it - but will go back and triple check it :-)

OK - here's the thing. I've changed it (4 times now), saved it - but it won't accept the change. Every time I go back to my profile, it has reverted back to Team Philip....suggestions on the fix for this??

So, this morning's attempt, was hoping for closer to 1210m but I the end had to really dig deep to get 1200m. Haven't done enough fast stuff recently - you really have to get your legs accustomed to it Image

Changed my team affiliation to Free Spirits and show up under this on individual standings page but I don't see Free Spirits under team standings page???

Dave, try changing your team name, save, enter your score again, save again.

Felton, we won't see the new team until the team building phase is over (end of September).

So I don't touch this (see picture) - as I've tried everything else and cannot get the team name to change...

Dave, it‘s not about creating a new team (I already did that), it‘s about selecting „Free Spirits“ from the list of existing teams.

Apparently you clicked the + button under TEAM_ NAME to create a new team? Go to your profile, then to TEAM_NAME and then to the drop down menue, select „Free Spirits“, save, and you should be done.

If this doesn‘t work Sebastien might be able to fix this.

That's what I was doing but it simply never saved the changes I made. I figured the picture inset was to create a new team hence me not doing anything more with it.

My last attempt earlier appears to have finally accepted Free Spirits and saved it..?

Who doesn't love a PB ?!

Been feeling a bit off colour since the weekend and took a few days off but this evening was my opportunity to have a crack at this. Felt better this morning so did an easy hour (15k) before work to try & keep something in the tank for this evening. Pace worked well - brisk start, cruise through the middle half & turn it up for the last minute although it felt a lot more ragged than it looks. Went a bit too hard on my first few strokes and dipped a bit too far under my target pace but backed it off fairly successfully. Not something to be attempted too often - too hard & I suspect I'll be feeling it tomorrow a bit.

Wow, that's a very strong 4 minutes there Guy, very well done! =D> Could you please enter it in the IRL so it counts towards the team?

Including Guy we have seven scores so far.

May I please ask Steve, Marta and Max to select Free Spirits as TEAM_NAME (if they haven't done already) and post a score? :fswink:

All done. 1,190m @1:40.8. Planned for a relatively even pace at 1:41 but it didn't quite work out like that. But happy as pace 0.8 faster than last year and adjusted meters = 1,292.

Guy -- that's just amazing! Very well done. ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ How do you get your heart-rate to drop while increasing your speed? That's a trick I'd love to learn.

Max -- very nice PB! Those two splits in the middle look pretty painful, so well done on holding it together for the final split. I don't suppose you leapt right up afterward to record your time.

Cheers,

I can see Guys amazing row on the individual score table but cannot see the Free Spirits team entry at all - nor can I see a tab/link to the 8on8 competition (maybe those two things are linked)?

Is my 1075m visible to anyone else?

I see your score as well, Dave. Peter mentioned earlier that the Free Spirits team will appear in the scores after the building ohade is over.

Yesterday another attempt from me. 1143 meters which is 17 more then last season.
