Thanks Barbara. Yes, I saw Yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't mad about the ending. Not sure I could do a review without spoilers, but it reminded me how many great songs The Beatles recorded.

I was going to post a couple of lines from Back in the USSR, but I did a search on this thread and found I'd already posted those exact lines a couple of years ago (those East coast girls...). So now for something completely diffferent...

Either the song is too obscure or further lyrics are needed. I'll try the latter.

OK. Probably better to stick to singles rather than album tracks. Before I give up on this completely, it's by the Beatles and it's a track on one of their best selling albums.

I'll give it another 48 hours or so before posting something different.

OK. I think I'll stick to hit singles from now on. That was Honey Pie from the White Album by the Beatles.

How about the following?

Can't you see I'm on a losing streak?

Paul, rather than naming the tune now, I thought I would wait, and maybe come back next week, but that would not give you any satisfaction, so I decided to name it now.

Satisfaction, by the Rolling Stones.

I can't get no better answer than that, though I try and I try.

Over to you, sir!

Thanks Paul.

This next one has become sort of my theme song (unfortunately). Or at least the chorus has.

I will give it some time, and then I have a few clues in mind.

Don't ever let it show"

Well, I wish that someone would name this tune, but I knew that I have to Faces that, again, it may be too obscure.

Peter, I do not recognise the lyrics but from your generous clues, is it a song by The Faces?

Guessing again but could it be I wish I knew when young what I know now or something along those lines?

Good detective work Jill. =D>

The lyrics to the Faces (and Rod Stewart) (and my theme) song are:

"I wish that I knew what I know now
When I was younger
I wish that I knew what I know now
When I was stronger"

However, none of those words are in the title to the song. #-o

If no one gives the correct title by Tuesday, I will declare Jill the winner. And give the title. 8)

I recognise the lyrics clearly but never being much of a Rod Stewart fan I don't know the title. It's not one of his major hits so as a guess from the few others I can think of - oo-la-la ??

That is it, Paul.

As a follow up to how I was doing when I first posted this song, I went back in the afternoon to correct the typo.

"Spill The Wine" is the only thing that comes to mind, but I do not think that is correct.
