A quick round up of praiseworthy milestones achieved by the end of 2018:

Liefcat has reached the heights of 80 lifetime CTCs ^O^ =D>

Steve Smith is joined by Peter Tullet in reaching 70 lifetime CTCs ^O^ =D>

Very well done to them!

I've added a column for lifetime CTC tracking to the googlesheet in case anyone (hopefully not just me!) is motivated/interested. Please let me know if there's any errors.

Edit - all very wrong. sorry!

Ian, thanks for adding the number of lifetime ctcs which is very helpful/motivational as far as I‘m concerned.

However, I think the numbers aren‘t correct. The highest score for lifetime ctcs in your table is 80 for Erik/Liefcat, but I know for sure that there is a number of Free Spirits that have rowed more than 100 ctcs. Maybe that column is missing a season or two?

Hmmmm - that column selects for those who rowed last year (and I will update if anyone else returns to the ctc).

The full list is in the running totals tab, but that doesn't show any 100+.

Back to the drawing board. Drat: pre 2013 results.....

Thanks for the updates, and the seemingly very demanding task of keeping track of lifetime ctc´s :!: ^O^ (For me I started as Erik Pedersen, then at a point changed it to Liefcat. And on one occasion I couldn´t scroll down to L on my Smartphone, so had to make a new "A Liefcat" to be able to make an entry - Well the list from May last year that Plummy referred to seems to have grasped those "changes")...

All the figures are now in, and I've spotted a couple of duplications on the running totals tab to deal with.

I can see that previous years had other statistics presented (average points, % CTCs completed). If any of these are of interest I can easily automate this.

Thanks for all the work you‘re putting into this Ian!

Knowing I‘m making myself unpopular here, but could you have a look at the following points:

- Steve Smith/Wolfmiester managed to row 246 ctcs, which is amazing given that there have been only 169 ctcs so far  I think somehow you added 100 to his correct total of 146 (sorry Steve to be a spoilsport here :D )

- WiganLad and Hewitt are the same person (Jason Hewitt). According to Roger‘s list he rowed a total of 58 ctcs, not two.

- Joe Lohman‘s total is 68, not 62

- I‘m missing Bill Wright with a total of 73

Genuinely pleased to have the extra eyes on the sheet - I was aware of some of the above issues, but not all.

Steve Smith/Wolfie - that was a fat fingered 113 rather than 13 for a previous year
WiganLad/Hewitt - now reintegrated as a single person (though currently 56 : 32 pre 2012, and the remainder as listed in the googlesheet. I'll look further).
Joe Lohman - updated to 68

I'm aware of Jon P Taylor, Hayley Plumb and a number of others appearing twice too which will have effects on the lifetime totals. I'll correct these this evening.his

Roger Burrell is missing an entry in 2013 (hence currently his total differs).

The first leaderboard for 2019 is available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Freespirits had 31 entrants this month. I believe - fingers crossed - I can congratulate:

Jon Taylor - 50th CTC ^O^
Philip Price - 90th CTC ^O^ ^O^
Sharky Jacaway - Warm welcome to a new entrant

Thanks for doing this Ian

I have a small question regarding the totals: on April fool's day 2017 the fish game was posted as a joke and some of us posted scores for this but it has subsequently been deleted from the CTC website. In the past I believe this challenge has been added to the totals of those that completed it. I don't think you are including it so perhaps we could all come to some collective agreement as to whether or not this should be included? Personally I feel that as it was just a joke and that it's been deleted we should just ignore it

Thanks Felton.

The 2017 fish game is currently included in the google sheets running totals, but it's easy to remove that column of records (or indeed fiddle with the formulas to discount the fish game figures from the running CTC total, points total etc).

As such, I'm minded to agree with you that the scores should be cut (but we can preserve the record).

Ok, I see it now, had miscalculated my own running total
It would be interesting to know everyone's view on this. I kind of wish they had just owned the joke a bit more and kept the record on the CTC website.

Obviously I'm slightly bias, as I didn't get to do it. However that's sort of the point, there will be the majority of people who didn't even see it as an 'event', therefore I feel its unfair to 'penalise' for not doing it.
The CTC is a monthly challenge (with the addition of the 14/2 memorial row. At least that one is announced beforehand).

If it assists anyone's decision, in the event that the scores are adjusted:
  • No rowers loose a milestone of completed CTCs
  • Four rowers swap places: e-Clair and Joe Lohman; RGelissen and Paul Gould

I'm ok with losing it. It was probably too much of an oddball one off.

I didn’t do it, so could be biased, but I would lose it. I agree with keeping 14/2 though.

Tako now has assumed the summit of the table, and Guy completed his 20th CTC.
Good morning Ian!
As much as I love seeing my name at the top, you have a minor hickup in the table!
The next in the list all have equal number of points; hence, all up to Guy share the first spot.
As Felton was faster in both I think he should go first, unless you take age into account, but then one should look at putting the female and LWT ahead .....

Anyway, thanks for the short moment of glory!!

Hopefully, and apologies for this becoming a theme, the google sheet is now corrected.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

I have been bold and added a fractional weighting to the scores to avoid ties but not distort the core value (at the moment this is derived from the lifetime CTC total, but I'm very happy to hear thoughts about the preferred way).
