Fitness Matters Monthly Challenge

Post by Caratacus »

There seems to be a new online competition on the block with the announcement of the FM monthly challenge

www.indoorrowinginfo.com/fmmc

It seems to be much like the IRL with ranking distances and is weighted by age. The first challenge distance is the 5k so you can do one workout for both this and the IRL. I'm not sure what the further schedule is. I'll give it a go as I'm a sucker for these kind of things, what about everyone else?

A bit of a sneaky first piece, lurring IRL - ers in with an equivalent challenge.

Doubtless I won't be able to resist

I'm gonna give it a try as you are killing two birds with a stone for the December challenge, if you're already doing the IRL.

One thing it has in common with the IRL though is that the site is a bit awkward to navigate.

Nevertheless hopefully another good piece of motivation to get on the rowing machine!

Registered as well and entered a score. I don't see myself yet but maybe they have to acknowledge something. It might get busy, now participating in three challenges, but I'll see how things turn out. This month is easy of course.

Scores take a day or two to be processed as it is a manual system I believe.

Yes, but only for first time entries as they do the registring process manually (to avoid spam). Once you‘re registered the next entries should be a matter of a few minutes.
