Pan Pacific Master Games - Haico Aaldering of Free Spirits to win GOLD over 1k!
Hi all,
it has come to my attention that Free Spirit Haico Aaldering won Gold at the Pan Pacific Master Games in the indoor rowing event over 1k in the 50-54 MHwt category. The event was held in Queensland Wednesday and Thursday last week (quite unusual days of the week for an erging competition).
This is a replay of his race: https://utilities.concept2.com/replays/ ... /Race%2056
Well done Haico!
I don't know if Haico is following the forum, maybe some FS who know him personally can send our congratulations to him.

Thanks for pointing that out Ian, I honestly thought he was with Free Spirits as I remember him taking part in the ctc for Free Spirits on several occasions. But it seems that he‘s with Q-Power now

which I didn‘t know, sorry for the confusion!

Well done Haico - Q-Power don’t take part in the CTC - many of their members take part in different clubs e.g.Paul Buchanan has always done the CTC for Paddy Power so I would imagine Haico is still a member of FS too

Hi all,
Many thanks for your congratulations. As you may have guessed I'm hardly ever on the forum and I only saw this thread by chance today. I was indeed a member of Q-Power but did the C2CTC for the Free Spirits. But as of October or so I've left Q-Power as I couldn't train as much as required to compete at a high level due to chronic injuries. I haven't rowed for a few months now and am not quite sure when I'll get back on the machine.
Anyway, thanks again for the congratulations and I hope I'll manage to get in a boat again for the CTC sometime soon. Cheers!

Thanks for dropping in Haaico. I hope the injuries clear up and you are back on the machine very soon.
