Everybody ok with that?
I just saw that these teams were build around average Nonathlon points from last year, but I'm nowhere near as fit as last year which also best nonathlon year.
I don't mind staying in this team but I would be sorry to let you down and you would expect more than I am able to.
Sorry for bringing it up so late but I did not check back earlier after Peter told be I would beneeded via fb

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019
Thanks Ralf for bringing this up!
My suggestion would be to use the first round of the IRL to finalise teams. With the exception of Iain Greenwood all participants have entered a score.
Iain, you mentioned earlier that you were down to lightweight again. Could you enter a score in the next couple of days to give team Philip a correct overall score?

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019
I have not done any rowing for about 3 months now so am withdrawing from the team competition as I cannot guarantee that I will be able to make any meaningful contribution.
Thanks
Paul

I was just going to suggest that we leave the teams as they are with one team member each being off their normal form.
Paul, are you sure you want to quit? It‘s entirely up to you of course but this is more about participation and fun than competition. And it would encourage you to do some regular rowing, helping you getting back to your usual fitness.

Peter, if you guys are happy for me to stay on in the team despite my non-competitiveness then I will re-join.Grobi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:51 pm I was just going to suggest that we leave the teams as they are with one team member each being off their normal form.

I have committed to doing a Cross-Solent swim and the Thames Marathon swim, and not being much of a swimmer, have been dedicating my free time to training for that.
However, now that winter I coming up I can get back on the rower too ( I don't do heat ).

Paul, I for one would be happy if you continued.
I don't know what your team mates say, but I'm pretty confident they'd be happy, too

Paul, please continue; the participation is far more important than anything else. It is a long season and form will come and go for most people anyway

YES, Paul, please stay on! Season is long and as Felton writes all are subject to change in fitness.
The teams look fine to me, because as soon as We in FSP get the last man to post a result I am confident that we will catch up
So far it has been far more fun than last season, so really nothing to complain about.

Caratacus is right. Participation is the most important thing. So, Paul, we certainly need you.
Please reconsider and return to the team. (By order of the team captain )

Looks like your scores have edged us ahead for the moment but the site is quite difficult to negotiate so I may be wrong

Team Philip
Thought I'd have an early go at this. Will be interested to see how many points it's worth and may try again later in the month with aim of going sub 5:30.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019
Looks like the other teams flew past us and pushed us on page 2. I wanted to try to improve my score but had to HD again.
Now it is fun to have the internal competition as well, as the other teams seem to even stronger than last year.
Hopefully more luck this month. Max, great first effort. Be aware that it often takes a couple of days before one can post a score for the month. Depending how much time the Organizer has, it takes 3-5 days.

Was able to input my time of 5:33.0 and it was adjusted to 5:08.0. I was hoping to compare to last month but after playing around on the IRL site I realised it works on percentages. So I'll need to wait to see if October is better than September's 92.19. Anyway whilst its early in the month we are back up to 3rd

1 mile effort for Team Guy: Hello all fearless rowers here ! Still not suffering from a cold- despite all around me have on- but after that terrible mile i feeling that scratching in my throat...
It was really a very painfull mile- but didnt reach HR max...but it was clearly a all out effort...
Target was to stay sub 1:40 pace..it was a thriller in the end ! Hoped for a 1:39.5 pace- but i guess didnt recovered to 100% from Fridays ctc attempt
hope could help Team Guy a little...waiting for the next entries...

Forgot to post this prior to my sniffles (good luck avoiding them!) so there might be a little to nibble off this time.
