Posting here as well as the Pete Plan thread, as this was one of my season objectives: top 7.5km in 30 minutes. One metre is enough Image

Perhaps I undercooked my objectives, but don't quite feel bolshy enough to increase it yet....

Quite how Guy gets over 8.5km is beyond my poor addled brain.

Well done Ian - 7500+ is a great milestone. I agree 100+ about the 8500+ that Guy manages, I can barely get my head around 8000+ and only once even got close at 7885 (in 2008!!)

Well spotted, it is nice to post PBs (37.09.2 for the 10k) and it certainly helps being a relative newbie .

Thanks to Jetson, my family's black Labrador when I was growing up, I thought it would be nice to have the dog days of summer black dog icon. But having been away for a week I needed to add some meters quickly so today's row was the hour of power / pain. PB of 15,361 which is an improvement of 60m. There must be easier ways of gaining 3 Nonathlon points!

Again inspired by the great achievements posted in the last weeks for IRL, PP, IP, C2CTC...., the great progress at work, happy kids, storm outside, season’s first million, Jill’s poetry, but mostly by the desire to have all green in the meta-nonathlon I went for the hour of power and improved my PB from 15132 to 15164 :-) now it’s time for a beer or two... Well done Tako - those last 6 seconds or so watching the old PB disappear must have felt good !

As I was in a trance counting strokes to 26 each minute, while staring at the pace, I almost missed the finish. Expected to collapse during the last 10 minutes but somehow the body kept the rhythm by itself and even went to 1:57 pace. The last 10 strokes I tried a sprint but the tank was empty.
The beer tasted very good :-)

So now the 30min, 10km and HM are next to get all green, but the season is still long and I have some “sprints” to fix this month for IRL and C2CTC....

Excellent work Tako.

You inspired a crack at my 2km time this morning. After a couple of weeks of the interactive plan, and evidence to suggest my 1km pace was improved on the basis of the irl result, I set the pace boat to 1.50 (a couple of tenths under pb) and clung on....

Only one yellow to go.... Image

You managed to keep up the same pace throughout? That's very impressive, Tako.
These are the best sarms for cutting in my opinion.

My turn to join in the fun so picked my 'weakest' pb, the 6k.

Turned out to be a really poorly executed time trial. Went ok til just over half way then hd'd, thought better of it and decided to at least finish. Must have kept the pace just fast enough that I was able to put in a beast of a sprint at the finish to pip my previous best by 2 seconds. Think I will revisit this again soon Image

I had meant to try and beat my 30 mins distance but decided at the last minute to see if I could crack 15,500 for 60 mins. 15,550 @ 1:55.7 which is an improvement of 189m.

Well done Felton and Max!
Sounds like Felton could beat that PB without an HD and that Max soon will have a go at the 30min.

Let’s see who is next

HD’ed a 4-min PB attempt yesterday while attempting >1210m to beat Felton, but too soon after the 60min and probably too fast for me....

Fueled by the success of only needing an hour to find a misplaced cooking pan in the loft, and assembling a piece of IKEA furniture without having to swear or take it apart because of misreading the instructions, I felt the omens were aligned for a hm.

I'd had several aborted attempts over the last few weeks, so set off inside my pb pace boat and settled to what felt like a comfortable pace. And held it Image

I'm as happy with the overall heart rate trace as sticking in my cv range throughout.

Some great stuff going on here - well done all!!

I will use your new PB Ian as a target for an attempt for an SB before the end of the year. You're currently about 35s ahead of me I think.

You're very welcome. In return, I'm going to completely ignore your HM PB

In - fortunately fleeting - moments, I am drawn towards the right hand end of your signature table.

After a long time i did a single all out effort for the 1 K. My last single attempt were the November ctc 2 years ago. My pb is from the 1st April of 2005...very old...and since today history  :D  managed a 3:09.6 the splits:
1k_pb-beat-1stApril2005.JPG

...it was a 1/4 - 1/4 - 1/2 - 1/1 start...that explains the stroke rate at 1second...
