Great week of rows
While by no means matching the above pace, I tried to at least follow the spirit of it.
In my case this meant a very steady 1km at slighly slower than 10km pace, then have a good attack at the CTC. The end result was that:
1) I didn't feel quite like I was suffocating until the last 100m (definitely a good thing);
2) While hard, I made it to 450m at reasonable stroke rate;
3) I felt sufficiently ok to stretch out with a steady hour row following (not a record breaker @ 13641m, but extra meterage on my previous C2 distance).
Not a huge improvement for the CTC itself, but I am pleased with an end time of 3.44.1. By next Sunday, hopefully there will be an achievable target rower a couple of tenths ahead of me for added motivation to improve.
