Re: Cycle cross-training
That's a big ride Trish. Congratulations. I joined the Wattbike club about a month ago. 90 mins is the most I've done so far. I can't really imagine sitting on it for 5 hours! It's a considerable achievement.
Best wishes,

Re: Cycle cross-training
Trish that is an amazing effort, I thought 50k on the erg was tough but 5 hours and 100 miles on a Watt Bike-fantastic =D>
I hope that you can still enjoy the choccies and well done to your little helper too
Happy Christmas to both of you and the boys ( doggies )

Re: Cycle cross-training
5 hours and no change in the view *whilst exercising*. Well done. That last hour when you were pacing for sub 5 hours must have been "amusing"
I went for a *very* gentle bike ride on Saturday for a friend's birthday, 40k in 4 hours with a long coffee in the middle. I had the weird experience of being the strongest rider there and won all the climbs!

....back up a cat 3 hill (of course)!
Good 55 miles at quite respectable pace.
Somerset levels flooded but we stuck to ridge
Also managed 300w for 10 mins for the first time on a ride.

Re: Cycle cross-training
Not much activity here for a while. I am still doing masses of cycling, building up for 200 miles in two days next weekend...

Re: Cycle cross-training
I really like the cross training aspect you introduce! The benefits of doing a mix of fun exercises and interacting with more people that way are great I think. XC skiing / ski erg, bicycle, crossfit?, running.
So far I used Runkeeper which works great for all sorts of outside stuff (except snowshoeing - no tab for that..). Just joined Strava and the group. Forum chatter elsewhere indicates that both apps should work at the same time. Need to get battery back up for longer rides I think!

No competition on the bike board from my side ... The winter cold has given way to frequent rain whenever I am off work....Thomas W-P wrote:Cool. Sadly, another table for me to work my way up...
