October Feast 5k.
This thread seems to have died a death so I was thinking of setting up a little challenge from month to month if it catches on.
It is not weight ajusted, but just for fun.
First month is the ever popular October Feast 5k.( Just stick your name on a list and we can copy and paste durng the month)
I will be doing my first attempt at dinner today working my way up with low rate rows.
It could also be a good idea to post your progress during the month.

Re: October Feast 5k.
Nice idea Jason, good luck for lunchtime today!
I like challenges, though often struggle to do fit them in sometimes without losing track of training goals. I'm in awe of Erik in his ability to seemingly enter nearly every challenge, and do so well every time!
This said, I did a 5K last month and was planning another, so count me in. I need a focus to recover to after a viral illness

Re: October Feast 5k.
Was not feeling this before I started because I had an early start. 4:00AM wake up. But after 2500m I knew it was ok for a sub18:30 r23.

Re: October Feast 5k.
More of an unhappy accident but I quit a 10k at half way (well, 5002 to be precise) but as the time was 19:39.6 I'm safe using that for 5000 I'm sure. Given I started a little slower thinking I was doing 10k I would hope to be faster than that later in the month (if I do another one)

Re: October Feast 5k.
I'll enter my time from one of my rate capped 5k intervals a few days ago. Not sure if I will get a chance to set a 5k unrestricted time for this but may set a 5k split on a longer row if I do one that is not rate capped.

I can add the first 5k from my 6k PB to the list. Feel free to delete it, if that's not on.

Re: October Feast 5k.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to do this yet. If I get the go ahead from my physio next Tuesday, I'll have a go at it before month end. As things currently stand, I'll be happy if I can go sub 20.
