Just Giving for the Royal Marines

Post by billwright »

Please forgive the impersonal nature of this post. I would like to send a PM to every forum member but with our readership, I reckon that it would take days.

I'm writing to respectfully request a donation towards my "Just Giving" target:

http://www.justgiving.com/Bill-Wright4

In September each year, former Royal Marines and associates take part in a Yomp across a section of Dartmoor from Princetown to Bickleigh. The distance is about 18 kilometres and whilst probably a doddle for a fit young Royal Marine, is still a bit of a challenge to us Oldies. :D

I'll be doing it this year for the fifth time in company with some old oppos and as it's the 350th anniversary of the forming of the Royal Marines I've set a target of £350 for donation to the RMCTF. If you follow the link, you will see that the fund raising activities this year are many and varied:

http://www.rmctf.org.uk/

Links within that link show how the money is raised and more importantly how it is spent.

Many thanks for giving up your time to read this post. If you feel that others within your own circle (on Face Book and Twitter for example) would like to contribute, please feel free to distribute it further.

Regards

Bill Wright :fswink: :fswink:

I'll probably leave them with Trish as there's plenty of sheep on the moor and they're a big temptation
