Roll on next weekend. March 21st is my birthday and guess what I want for a birthday present?
Would that be a night with Angelina Jolie

Seriously Paul all the best to Ireland for next week-it will quite a game :D
Thanks Alan

What a game!

I think I aged at least two years today, and the tension during that final penalty kick was almost unbearable.

I rowed during the first half, but had to have a couple of drinks during the second. I'm off now for a meal to celebrate my birthday and I think town is going to be buzzing!

Hallelujah!!!!

Saw the England game at a local rugby club after watching my mates 3rd team win - he couldn't play due to an injury but one of his sons decided to make an appearance. Then back to his for the Irish game. Great result for Ireland :D
Not so sure about my head this morning tho - two days in a r... (I can't use that word here, can I? )

Couldn't agree more Paul, what a fantastic sight. Even more so from being 18-6 down!
Brilliant to see the celebrations.
A great boost for Italian rugby, and rugby in general I would say.

The Irish were lucky to escape with a win in Rome in the first round of matches. I think the Ireland-Italy game in the World Cup group stages is going to be very interesting, particularly if we keep conceding penalties all the time.

Sorry Wolfie et al

I guess it was one of those days. We played to our full potential; you didn't. O'Driscoll has to be the best ever to play for Ireland. If you disagree, please explain why.

Thanks

England really were never in the game :( and at the same time, Ireland really lifted theirs =D> no contest in the end

Okay, so England won the Six Nations, but there didn't seem to be much to celebrate yesterday :?

Certainly no complaints about the result.
Just getting a little fed up of a) continually failing at the last hurdle for the Grand Slam and b) losing to the men in green over recent past!

I cant argue with the result.Well done to Ireland. =D>
They played England at there own game in the rain and mud.The old England team(The World Cup winning team) would have loved that game. But the new England team are building towards the World cup.Trying to play expansive rugby and pass it wide.
I am pretty sure that when the World Cup starts we will be more than capable of holding our own with the big countries. :D

We peaked at the Italy match, ground out a win against the French, were lucky to beat the Scots and Ireland had many leaders on the pitch and spirit !

If Tindall had been playing and the game had been earlier in the season, maybe a different result but all credit to Ireland, great team pulled out the performance we all knew was there, on balance England deserved the Championship but not quite good enough for a Grand Slam-YET-we will be next year :D

Well played to Wales today. Terrific performance. Who would have predicted after the Ireland Wales game (particularly at half time in that game!) that Wales would win 6 Nations and that Ireland would be in danger of winding up with the wooden spoon?

Yes congratulations to Wales. Shame England were too weak to capititalise on a splendid opportunity for a grand slam.

Who'd have thought Ireland with the wooden spoon eh Paul? Desimated by injuries though it has to be said.
On a positive note, great to see Italy improving again.
And yes, very well played Wales.

Actually it was France who got the wooden spoon, thanks to that late try by Scotland. Even more unlikely than Ireland finishing last. What odds would you have got on predicting the bottom two correctly before the 6 nations began?
