Managed 640m on Tuesday. Two extra strokes today and pulling extra hard on the final one... 653m. Eh! :?

This takes me back to the very strange and sometimes bizarre challenges that we set on this site

Had an attempt yesterday and either I forgot how to count or seriously under estimated my stroke but ended with only 588m

but today was differnt, apologies but real luck and 666

A shockingly poor attempt of 650 on Friday. Today my fourth attempt... 667!

I think I managed to set a record for this challenge today that will never be beaten (or leastways not by anyone genuinely attempting the challenge). I counted to 58 strokes and uncovered the monitor to discover I had covered 870m at 14 SPM! #-o

It's amazing feeling, when you open your eyes after the final pull and watch as meters grow toward the target... will they stop in time?

They did!

Well after some of the efforts posted I thought it was time I did this. So after the main training piece of 10k I did a just row to try and get the 666. Failed utterly at 631m.
Thomas are you going to post a table of results for this?

I thought this challenge was over yesterday ( I pulled one stroke too many and got 678m) and was resigned to writing it off as yet another heroic failure. Now I see that the challenge is open until 10 people achieve exactly 666m. Could take quite a while.....

I'm getting slightly closer. Opened my eyes and saw 666m but then it rolled on a further ten metres :( much better than my 540m attempt though. I think I miscounted that one!

648 today on 66 strokes. Meant to row 67, which would have been close, but forgot :(

Tried this one three times since November 4th and ended up with 534m, 682m and 663m yesterday! :D Now that I know how many strokes I need I have to find those extra three meters without getting bust

I had a go at this yesterday and got 665m on the first attempt. People in the gym now thing I'm mad(der) for rowing with my eyes shut and then trying to persuade the machine to do another meter verbally...

I guess I should retire now, as it could take many attempts to get any closer.
