Thought I'd share this with you EPOC enthusiasts...
Having had some very high EPOC readings recently, I was amused to see a VERY low one for a workout from last week.
Having done the FM, I did a very light piece as the first follow-on - basically rowing 48 minutes at 2:20ish pace. This was pretty easy, and HR averaged 116, and only went over 120 when I wasn't concentrating on breathing properly. (and I confess, I did start to wonder about how 100k would feel at this sort of pace.... )
I checked First Beat analysis, and guess what the workout registered as?
Max EPOC = 5.
Low EPOC value!!!
