I see that entries are now being taken for BIRC 2006.

A new edition to this years festivities is the team event.

Check out what it consists of here:

Cost is £25 per team, will Free Spirits be looking to enter a team(s)?

About time this thread was discussed I think.

Are we entering a team then?

It is "only" 4000m as a relay - and we'd be in the open category, but hey, we'll look really good in the kit?

What is the strategy - strapless all the way or people in charge of feet?

And how long are the stints?

We could practise at Newark

I think it is definitely worth entering a team if we can.

Having assisted in realy events before, albeit as a foot strapper, I can tell you there is NO WAY you can do this strapless. The men's teams will be pulling maximal 10 stroke bursts before swapping, and you NEED to be attached to do this. It does take some practice to learn the art of relay racing, but what the hell - let's give it a go.

Actually, if you don't use me, we may win a prize for the heaviest team!
