World Rowing Indoor Championships 2020

Post by MaxMacLaren1 »

The world championships are being held today and tomorrow, the 7th and 8th of February in Paris. As far as I'm aware it's the first time the championships (or the CRASH Bs) have been held in Europe so I hope there is a great turn out with lots of new records. It's being live streamed on YouTube if you want to get inspired with some world class racing...

I can't see an entry list so please let us know if you've entered. As always race reports are warmly appreciated and good luck

I had hoped to enter as I think the world championships sound a bit special. Unofficially I set myself a target time of 6:48 because in some previous years that was good enough to make the top 10 (M Hwt 50-54). But last year's training didn't go to plan and after my poor showing at the Scottish championships (6:53) I decided I wasn't in good enough shape. I hope I don't live to regret that decision!

Having found the results I couldn't resist looking up my category. Circa 60 entrants which is amazing and as I wouldn't have troubled the top 20 I've no major regrets.

Much more importantly I looked up a certain Mr G Blackburn. Congratulations on your 5th and 6th place =D> =D> =D> .
