First Race day ... The English Indoor Rowing Championships 2019

The English Indoor Rowing Championships. What an amazing day!!
I became aware of indoor rowing 6months ago after winning a comp at the gym.
After searching for clubs online David Plumb thankfully took me under his wing and what a fab coach and mentor he has been!!
Fast forward to today...nervous, anxious and excited me and my partner arrived at the Velodrome not knowing what to expect!! Met with David and he talked me through my race and setting off too quickly (which I assured him and wouldn't do

The atmpsphere was great, the race was tough but I had great support from family and friends. Following the race so many people came and said well done and chatted about the world of rowing I was so overwhelmed!!
It's been a great first race day experience, so much more to learn but can't wait to build on what I've achieved so far!! My only goal today was to get a PB (which I did) but to come 2nd absolutely exceeded my expectations!!
