Rowlympics and PaRowlympics Challenges

Post by JonathanA »

This seems like a nice challenge to coincide with Olympic Games (and an opportunity for me to get back on the rower post the cycling madness).

Watching the daily highlights programme whilst on the rower anyone?

15 hours in 15 days is a tough challenge.
Good job I like the colour Silver :-)

Just noticed this one I took my hols so I can vegitate in a chair and watch the olympics  but I decided 2 weeks in a chair is probably not a good idea so I have a screen set up above the erg and spent an hour or so on sat watching the road race and another hour today watching the rowing ..so far 2hours 8 min and 29k lets see if i can snatch a gold :D
my weekly av for the season so far is 15.6k so this may hurt and will move me up the Meterboard a bit as well [-o<

Good luck Jon, Steve and Den. I'm going for Gold but FM programmed on the last day so might be Silver if I crash and burn.

Several FS Bronze Medals =D> already but congratulations to Wendy Munroe who was the first ^O^ and who will probably end up with a Double Gold

Not made a start yet, and after all the excitement of the weekend have entered a cycling sportive.

However, I will aim for Bronze and start in earnest tomorrow.

Got a silver but tomorrow is my rest day, so gold will wait until Saturday (all being well). I have a new CD to put on my MP3 player so I can do that tomorrow and listen on saturday. Husband will hate it but he'll put up with it if it's on while I row. It's Mark Tremonti's new one; a tad heavy in places

Well done Wendy =D> I hate to put this pressure on you but who will be first to get Gold?

29 FS medalists so far - brilliant team achievement ^O^ The thing about these medals is that they can change colour so Bronze can become Silver and Silver can become Gold 8) (I bet some real Olympians wish their medals could do that  )

This is proving to be a popular challenge. I'm guessing we'll have a lot of medals by next Sunday

I don't think I'll be first to get a gold - either Richard or Dwayne, I think . I have plans for my afternoon - really fascinating stuff like vacuuming . And as much as I'd rather climb on the erg I can't stand the crunching underfoot any more. And my legs are tired, whinge whinge.

Well done on your GOLD Den ^O^ (For GBR ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ :D )

I suffered from Ergapathy tonight. A straight 60 mins which I just couldn't face after Binmania in the baking sun. I'm hoping against hope [-o< that I may get it done tomorrow morning otherwise the only Gold I'll get will be the stuff from Lidl that I spread on my toast :(

Hi Scoop, can we remove John Keller please, he is not a free spirit. Despite repeated efforts to get him to remove himself a couple of years ago he just carries on lingering. We were able to get him off the meterboard but we cant get him off the C2 site
