Free Spirits Hall of Fame

Further to an idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a while and feedback from a couple of others, I thought it would be good to have a central place where any medals, National Records or World Records that have been won or achieved by any Free Spirit could be put up in lights for either posterity and future inspiration.

In response to a comment re the status of any records: The status of a national or world record is in relation to the time it was actually achieved. If, subsequently it has been beaten, I do not intend to go back and "downgrade" the status by removing the flag etc. If someone happens to beat their own world record, then only the latest record will be used. Similarly, if someone achieved a medal position or set a national/world record under the banner of Free Spirits at the time, I won't remove or delete the result if they happen to move on to another team or leave the sport altogether

I received some updated information from Roger Burrell re Gillian's back catalogue of achievements and assuming I've interpreted them correctly, have now included them.It's a very impressive set of achievements. Again, if I'm missing anything from anyone, please let me know by PM with the race/time/placement etc.
Although I placed 2nd at the Devon Championships last week there was only a first place prize given (there were only 5 in the face category) so I've not included that event.

Many thanks for adding me to the Hall of Fame, Plummy. I won the BIRC in 2009. The same year I won the 60-64 category Welsh Championship and the Evesham Golden Mile. I held the record for the Mile until William Wright broke it a few months later. Unfortunately I can't remember my times. I'm now competing as a lightweight in the 75-79 category after taking a 14 year break from indoor rowing.

What's the best/easiest way to update this. Besides other things it would be cool to see my world rowing bronze and now a siver as well as some 60+ Aus records and competitions.

Hi Lesley - as Jon says I look after this little corner of the forum. If you send me all the info I need (refer to previous entries on your table) for any/everything I've missed I'll get on it. I was away this weekend (actually putting in 12.5km of OTW rowing with Captain Peter in Germany) so catching up as best I can.
