 Blimey can someone give webberg his pills back. Go 4 a row in the mood you're in,PB's will tumble.

The Arse not a team. Although not perfect I tend to feel tad harsh as they must have some knowledge of team play when they pass and move the ball so efficiently.

Mr Lehman's antics were ironic. RE TH, he is the captain. Unfortunately the rugby ethos isn't applied in this game but should be regarding the ref. To show Kirkland the ball and to have a little spat. Please both are adults, the last I saw no one was killed. A little emotion now and then doesn't hurt, does it?

TH has played badly last three/four games. He will go but still a great player. The team dynamic fails when he is in the team and plays badly cos the youngsters push the ball to him too much without having faith in their own skill.

Hi Neil

Have you checked out the Tottenham entry on Wikipedia recently?

One of your fellow supporters has been putting in his two cents worth.

I hope it wasn't you??? :P

Mr Gooner - can't row at the moment which is probably why I can spend so much time ranting. :P

Liverpool prediction was right - Mike C a happy man?

Chelsea - can't be bothered really.

The Arse - I stand by my comment that they are not a team. It's a bit like England when Beckham was waning. It seemed that we had to pick him and let him touch the ball in every move, but he ahd lost that last 2% of ability that had made him special and the team suffered. When he didn't play, we did much better.

TH has been a great player (and my wife fancies him no end), but he's lost that last few percent. Whether he gets is back is debatable at his age.

The rest of the team (outfield anyway) is young and can be a great team. Toure is a rock and Fabrecas gifted. Walcott is a couple of seasons away from the finished article but with careful handling could be a huge influence in the English game. Lungberg I think needs to go in the summer with TH.

When the ball is knocked around, they look good. Perhaps lacking a cutting edge but that will come. But how many times do you see 8 - 10 - 12 passes at speed and then a slowing down when TH gets the ball?

I think this is why a standard tactic is for the defence to suck in the opposition, hoof it long and let the speed merchants have a go.

Well I wait in fear for the Webberg rant. 1-2 to Chelski. Proud of the team effort. Don't think Mikel or Toure should have got reds. Fabregas was only holding Lamps you could see him saying that at the time. Adebayor, what a muppet. To lose was no great shame but now Toure and Adebayor out for three games, at least, that's gonna hurt.

And spurs won 4-1 with only 10 men. Has the world gone mad

Of course it's gone mad. Spurs winning 4-1 and Ireland beating England 43-13.

Don't you realise? It's just a dream. Any minute now, I'm going to pinch myself and wake up.

Ouch! That hurt!!

Good to see the real 'boys in blue' have the first trophy safely stashed away! All credit to Wenger's young guns though, made it a close run thing.
Shame the lunatics took over the asylum at the end and ruined what had been a cracking final!

Still one down three to go........maybe

Normally I "hate" Man U but.....

Tonight they were awesome, scoring at will.

Alan Smith scored a peach after his horrific injury

And Chelsea got through as well :D :D

I have given up on Crystal Palace who are just mediocre (but as I was born 1 mile from the ground are my team)

Unfortunately I have to take credit for Man Us amazing performance this evening. I was shooting my mouth off about them losing their bottle recently - so naturally I had to get my words shoved back down my throat. Caps a perfect day for me really - banged my head and cut it this morning, got hit by a lorry at lunch time (no damage to me but the car looks sorry for itself), and now this. Life has to get better than this!!

I hate to admit it, but United very actually quite good (OK very good) tonight.

Now, if only Spurs can produce a performance to rival that on Thursday. :)

Talking of happy, the Brummie Blues are top again with only 2 to play. That's Sunderland, Derby & Blues who have all been 1st within 7 days!
Still, many years of supporting Birmingham has taught us all to understand that there will be more twists & turns

Congratulations Wolfie.

Nice to see Birmingham back in the top flight. I was also pleased to see Sunderland get promoted (or, as they are now known in Ireland "Roy Keane's Sunderland").

Funniest own goal I ever saw was in a Birmingham derby. Take a bow Mr Enkelman. :P

Have yourselves an excellent time there, guys!

And while there, take lots of pictures, preferably of the players I have covered on Sportdaq football...and then send them to the nearest BBC outpost or whatever they're called.

Seriously, sounds like a ton of fun. Enjoy. :D

Neil,
Fortunately in SA we had our own major sporting event today - the Rugby Super 14 final - contested for the first time ever by 2 SA teams - and what a cracker of a game too.
I have to confess that all I watched of the FA Cup was snatches of extra time and it was dead boring.
Don't know if it is football or my viewing habits changing but 15 years ago I would not have missed a Cup final for anything.

I watched about 30 seconds of the cup final during ad breaks in the golf coverage. After about 30 seconds, I decided the ads were more interesting.

I was planning to watch the penatly shoot at the end, but even that bit of drama was denied. Problem is that the FA cup has been totally devalued by the Champions League and it just doesn't grab the imagination anymore.

Another reason for the tedious Cup Finals is that no team outside the"big 4" has won it since ...........
