Rower of the Day: Phil Cunningham

I don't know if anyone else spotted this or knows who he is but Phil Cunningham is the rower of the day on the c2 website 
For those of us in Scotland (and perhaps the rest of the UK but I'm not sure), Phil is a well known face on television at Hogmanay playing his accordion alongside Aly Bain on fiddle.
Wonder if he wants to be a Free Spirit?
