Winter Olympics - favourite bits

Post by webberg »

For me it's biathlon.

Gut busting, lung bursting maximum effort, uphill, on skis, to calm, controlled breathing and slow heart rate to shoot.

How?
Uphill to the finish

Got to agree with you there Graham, what amazing physiology, real athletes.

Also quite enjoy the luge and skeleton with the knowledge that the chap or chapess could do enormous harm to their bits - oo er missus

That and the Ski Jump-Incredibly brave folk

I think the curling was my favourite part of the WInter Olympics. Excellent performance by both the lads and the ladies.

I really wish I'd had a chance to try out cross-country skiing when I was younger, that looks like a great workout.

I loved the crazy 4-person races down a short course. Insane. The best one was when the first three all fell over on the last jump and slid over the line, all desperately reaching out for second spot as the last placed guy swept in.
